Meet Jackie Gagne

JACKIE GAGNE has lived in Maplewood for 26 years, raising her two children in a community that has become as integral to her journey as the Brooklyn neighborhood where she grew up. The daughter of Cuban immigrants, Jackie spent her childhood listening to stories about Cuba, her parents’ lives there, and their difficult decision to leave shortly after the revolution. As a first-generation Cuban American, those stories have shaped her in profound ways.

Jackie spent 20 years of her professional career at HBO focusing on multicultural marketing. During that time, she celebrated diverse voices and the people behind them, working to bring underrepresented stories into the spotlight. A longtime fan of LTYM, Jackie was inspired to audition this year after her husband Ken took part in last year’s cast.

A recent empty nester, Jackie enjoys traveling to new places, soaking in live music, her daily walks around town and spending time with family and friends.
