Meet Matt Boren

MATT BOREN has written on/produced nearly 100 episodes of television and has sold shows to MAX, FOX, NBC, ABC, FX, E!, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. As an author, Matt has penned titles for Penguin and Audible, including Folded Notes from High School, which was touted as one of the most “Amazing Audiobooks” of the year by YALSA and Tinaca Jones starring Retta, which he is currently adapting for Off-Broadway. His Audible Original, Brackish Waters, starring Christina Applegate was an Audie Award nominee for Humor Book of The Year and those two have come back together to bring that book to the screen. Matt’s upcoming Audible Original, Minister of Loneliness, will arrive in earbuds in 2025 and he has just sold another original to Audible, Where There’s A Will. On the heels of producing the animated Hulu pilot Blurred Lives for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ company MILOJO, Matt is back with the production company developing the animated half hour,The Darn Tootens.

A graduate of Tisch School of the Arts, Matt is also an accomplished actor, most notably starring in Azazel Jacobs’ Sundance darling Momma’s Man and recurring as Stuart for nine seasons on How I Met Your Mother.
